The owners were very friendly, and Erik provided a lot of hiking advice. I was worried about the conditions for the Besseggen ridge hike, and he talked me through the route and the weather forecast. His predictions turned out to be completely accurate. He also took time to show me several other nearby hikes on a map and tell me details about each one. Torill was welcoming and provided a much-appreciated meal when we arrived back late after our hike. I highly recommend Sjodalen Hyttetun og Camping to anyone planning to hike in this part of Jotunheimen.

Nice hosts, a cozy, very clean place with everything you need. Coffee machine, sauna, hot plate, refrigerator, TV. A fireplace to relax. The nature around and the huskies make the trip perfect. We were able to learn a lot about living and training with the huskies during the dog sled tour and afterwards. Mads was our guide that day and showed us how great a sled tour could be.
